Michael Shenk, DDS
Dr. Michael Shenk graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked as an engineer for Proctor & Gamble for three years before entering Northwestern University Dental School. Upon graduation, he was given the Oral Pathology Award, the Dental Materials Award, and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honorary society which is comparable to the undergraduate Phi Beta Kappa honorary society.
Dr. Shenk did a one year general practice residency at the University of Alabama Birmingham's University Hospital. He returned to Atlanta in 1979 and opened his family practice in Roswell.
Dr. Shenk attends continuing education courses on a regular basis to stay current with the latest developments in dentistry. Combining this with his engineering background, he has always had a "high tech" practice. He was the first dentist in Roswell to use digital radiographs as well as the first to use the patented Periolase laser to provide LANAP no cut, no sew periodontal laser surgery. He is a Fellow in the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry and a member of the World Laser Institute. Dr. Shenk has been using lasers in his practice since 2004. He is a member in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association and the Northwestern District Dental Association.
Dr. Shenk is an avid golfer and a huge fan of Georgia Tech.
Judd Shenk, DMD
A native of Roswell and graduate of Roswell High School, Dr. Judd Shenk has spent his entire life around the dental industry. Judd graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s degree in Management and went on to work for LiquidMetal Golf as the salesman for the state of Georgia. He then formally entered the dental field in a sales position with Mediadent. His areas of expertise were digital X-rays and digital intraoral photography. Dr. Shenk then went on to graduate from Nova Southeastern University, located in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. He returned to Roswell where he has partnered with his father to form Shenk Dental Care.
Dr. Shenk attends continuing education courses on a regular basis to stay current with the latest developments in dentistry. He is a member in the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association and the Northwestern District Dental Association.
Dr. Shenk is also an avid golfer and both he and his wife Kristi are huge fans of Georgia Tech.
